<TAG>’s
technical implementation is based on PHP, a SQL database, and
the software, SMS-Maker*. PHP scripts are activated by SMS-Maker
reading incoming text messages to <TAG> Each PHP script
accesses the database and sends messages to the unique email address
of each cellular phone.
input
Players send messages to a reserved phone number. The receiving
mobile phone is connected to a PC through a data cable. The software,
SMS-Maker*, periodically checks the phone’s SIM card for
new messages and is able to read the “trigger” text
from each message to call upon the subsequent PHP script.
output
Each mobile phone has a corresponding email address. In utilizing
this feature, SMS messages are sent from a mail server to phones
through PHP scripts. These messages prompt players of the game
situation such as recent tags, battles, challenges, punks, game
results, and player statistics.data
All data, such as player information, tags, battle statistics,
is stored and retrieved in a SQL database on a server.
